Crucial Funding Received from the Elise Pilkington Charitable Trust
The Suffolk Punch Trust are delighted to have received a generous grant from the Elise Pilkington Charitable Trust to help complete critical work needed at the Trust.
The Elise Pilkington Charitable Trust has awarded a generous grant of £11,950 to the Suffolk Punch Trust to allow the completion of vital work to replace old fencing and also create field shelters to provide shelter for its horses from the cold and wet in winter and the heat and flies in Summer.
Chief Executive of the Suffolk Punch Trust said “We are so grateful to the Elise Pilkington Charitable Trust for awarding us this grant. It will allow us to carry out much needed work to improve old barbed wire fencing with safe post and rail stock fencing and will also allow us to provide additional shelter for our horses in the extremes of the Season”.
The Elise Pilkington Charitable Trust was established in 1979, and was set up with two distinct beneficiaries in mind;
1. “To prevent cruelty to equines and relieve any suffering and stress to such animals”.
2. “To provide social services, and help for the relief of the aged”.
