Upcoming Art Workshops Children and Adult sessions
The Trust is hosting a few art workshops this year so make sure to sign up for them while there are still spaces!
The first Art workshop is on Monday May 29th and will be a Children’s drop in session with paid activities including; Drawing/sketching horses and simple print making, all materials will be provided. There will be two sessions on the day one at 10am and a second at 2pm. The cost is £5pp on the day or £4pp if you prebook. Call 01394 411 327The other Art event is a
sketching and painting weekend at The Suffolk Punch Trust. The event is being run jointly with the Inspired By Becker Art Society (IBBAS). IBBAS will be offering space to participants who would like work they have created during the weekend (framed or unframed) to be displayed within their annual exhibition in Wenhaston 4th to 6thAugust. Saturday, 10th June a workshop for Adults drawing the Suffolk Punch horses out in the landscape, with an opportunity to see a demonstration of horse handling in the morning and using the drawings in the afternoon, indoors, to produce some quick line and watercolour paintings, a technique suitable for sketch books. This day could help those who are not used to painting outdoors and be a useful lead into taking part on Sunday. Artists Margaret Wylie and Jennifer Hall. Cost £40 per person, includes materials, tea and coffee. Please note there is a cafe where lunch can be bought.
Sunday, 11th June at Suffolk Punch Trust, Hollesley. This is not a taught day and would only incur the normal entry fee to the Trust. Sketching and painting the Suffolk horses out in the landscape.
Bring your own materials. IBBAS artists will be on site to help where needed.
