Visiting Us


  • Is there parking?

    Yes, we offer free parking for cars, motorhomes and coaches.


    We have designated disabled parking spaces at the front of the Visitor Centre.

  • Do you have disabled access?

    We have disabled parking at the front of the Visitor Centre and have hard standing from the Visitor Centre up to the Implement Barn and down to the Stables. 


    The tracks are not wheelchair, or mobility scooter friendly, but access to the wider site can be gained by taking a Tractor Trailer Ride or by using the golf-buggy (available for booking - holds up to 3 passengers at a time).

  • Do carers have to pay?

    Visitors with disabilities may bring a carer with them who will not be charged admission.

  • Can I bring a pram/pushchair?

    We are pushchair friendly and have hard standing from the Visitor Centre up to the Implement Barn and down to the Stables. 


    The tracks are not pushchair friendly but access to the wider site can be gained by taking a Tractor Trailer Ride. 

  • Where is your main office?

    The admin office is located in the Visitor Centre. The postal address is Sink Farm, St Davids Lane, Hollesley, Woodbridge, Suffolk, IP12 3JR.

  • What is there to do?

    We offer a variety of different tours and activities on the Stud Farm. There is also a Heritage Garden, Heritage Museum, a Pets Paddock, Play areas, Rubbing Trail, Café and Gift Shop. See more here.

  • Are dogs allowed?

    We are dog friendly throughout the whole site, but dogs must always remain on fixed leads and under control. 


    Please do not leave you dog in the car unless accompanied by a responsible adult. There is a dog waste disposal bin on site.

  • Do you have toilets?

    Toilets are available in the Visitor Centre.

  • Is smoking allowed?

    No smoking or vaping is allowed anywhere on site.

  • What are your opening hours?

    VISITOR CENTRE OPEN (FREE) 10am - 4pm


    STUD FARM OPEN (TICKET) 10:30am - 3pm

  • Is it muddy?

    The tracks can get very muddy and there can be plenty of puddles after heavy rain. Wellies would be good! 

  • How long does a visit take?

    There are lots of things to do on site whether you have 2 hours or half a day or longer to spare.

  • How much is it to get in?

  • What's included in the admission price?

    Day tickets includes a Guided Tour, Tractor Trailer Rides and a Horse Demonstration, as well as full access to the whole site.

  • Do I have to book?

    There is no online booking needed except for special events – just pay on the day at the shop reception desk.

Animals & Adoptions


  • What animals do you have?

    We have around 30 horses, a flock of Suffolk sheep, Red Poll cows, donkeys, Kune Kune pigs, Pygmy goats, guinea pigs, ducks and chickens.

  • Can I feed the animals?

    There is goat feeding every day in the Pets Paddock at 2pm. We ask for a small donation for this activity.

  • Can I stroke or pet the animals?

    You can stroke the horses, donkeys, goats and pigs. We have hand sanitisers provided around the site.

  • Can I adopt any animal?

    We currently have 6 Suffolk Punch horses available for adoption: Achilles, Aspall, Dorothy, Edith, Gunther and Wren

    • Over the phone: Call us on 01394 411327

    • At the Suffolk Punch Trust: Pop into the Trust and head to the shop reception desk to fill in a paper form. 

  • What do I receive when I adopt an animal?

    We have 3 different adoption packages:

    GOLD

  • How can I pay for my adoption?

    Payments can be taken through our website, over the phone and in person in our shop. 


    Via the website: Monthly or yearly via a direct debit, or as a one-off payment (single) using a credit or debit card. Adoptions are here.

    At the Trust: You can adopt via a paper form from the shop reception desk, which also has the option of a one-off (single) payment with cash. 

  • How do I renew an adoption?

    You can renew your adoption by giving us a call on 01394 411327, or through the adoption form on the website and clicking the slider under the price amounts which says I would like to renew my adoption. 

  • Can I buy an adoption as a gift?

    Absolutely - and they really do make fantastic gifts! All the gift options are available via the adoption form here. Once you select a donation amount, it will give you the option to buy as a gift.

  • Can I buy an adoption for my child?

    Of course, you can buy an adoption as a gift. All the gift options are available via the adoption form here. Once you select a donation amount, it will give you the option to buy as a gift. Adoption packages are geared towards either adults or children.


Cafe


  • Can I bring my own food?

    We have the wonderful Suffolk Punch café on site, but you can also bring a picnic onto the site. There are wooden picnic benches and picnic rugs available for picknickers to use.

  • Do you cater for special dietary requirements?

    We cater for all dietary requirements in the Suffolk Punch Cafe. If you are unsure of what we can provide for you on the day then please ring us on 01394 411327.

  • Do you have high chairs?

    Highchairs are available for use both inside and outside the on-site café. 

  • Is your food cooked fresh?

    All of the food is prepared on the day and cooked fresh to order.


Payment


  • What type of payment methods do you accept?

    We accept all credit cards except American Express and we accept cash, BACS and direct debits.

  • Can I get a full refund?

    Refunds will of course be given for any faulty goods or if the site has to close on the day due to unsafe weather conditions.
