Services and Fees
Veterinary, farrier and other third-party costs will be billed as incurred or passed to the owner for payment.
The Stud Services fees including VAT.
It is thanks to a generous donor that we are able to offer the facilities for artificial insemination (AI)

Livery Requirements
Before bringing your horse(s) to The Colony Stud, please discuss your requirement and plans with us, and complete our admission form with all of the necessary details.
Passport - We will require to see the horse’s passport, which should accompany the horse.
Good Health - We require all horses coming to The Colony Stud to be in good general health, up-to-date on worming and farriery, and to meet the following health requirements:
Equine Influenza – all horses, except foals, must be fully vaccinated against Equine Influenza, and a booster must have been given within 12 months, and no less than 7 days, of arrival. If a booster is due while the horses are at the Stud, it will be given unless advised otherwise.
Freedom from infection – a signed declaration is required for each horse stating that it has not been in contact with, nor has it shown any signs consistent with Strangles or any other infectious disease, or that there have been no signs of infectious disease at the premises of origin.
Insurance - Please note that it is the owner’s responsibility to have their own insurance cover for their horse(s), if required. The Suffolk Punch Trust does not insure visiting horses.
